Be ready when it has to be right
Today, surveyors find themselves in a moment where growing demand for geospatial expertise and transformative technological advancements are changing the industry landscape. Increasing levels of automation and cloud capabilities present new horizons for productivity. However, we recognise that for technology to truly make an impact, it must do more than innovate. It must empower surveyors to meet their daily challenges with confidence and efficiency.

Leica iCON trades simplifies measurement and layout for the digital era
Increased project complexity, rising accuracy and efficiency requirements, and skilled labour shortages – these are just a few of the challenges facing building constructors today. The Leica iCON trades is an automated measurement and layout solution that overcomes these challenges with ease. Here, we take a deeper look at how the technology was developed and what makes it so easy to use.

Leica Pegasus TRK300 opens up advanced mobile mapping
The new Leica Pegasus TRK300 is built for versatility across mobile mapping applications. Its dual-head scanner system captures high-resolution data from multiple angles with speed and precision. With a range of up to 300 metres, the system enables efficient data collection over large areas, reducing time in the field without sacrificing data quality. The result is a high-density point cloud, ideal for asset mapping and smart city modelling.

The next evolution in construction machine and operator safety
Xwatch Safety Solutions, part of Hexagon, unveiled its next-generation MK2 safety and control system at bauma 2025 in Munich. Building on its MK1 predecessor, the MK2 delivers a 30% faster installation, enhanced user-friendliness, and full retention of key features like height and slew restriction and Rated Capacity Indicator (RCI) across the XW1–XW5 machine range.

Leica Geosystems presents new utility detection solution
Leica Geosystems launched its latest utility detection solution, the Leica DT100 Precision Locator and Leica DE100 Transmitter. The Leica DT100, paired with the DE100 transmitter, offers a robust solution designed to meet the demanding needs of industries like construction, utilities, and telecommunications.

Leica DS4000 helps reveal previously undetectable underground utility assets
The Leica DS4000 utility detection system can identify underground assets up to 60% deeper than traditional systems. By integrating patented Equalised Scrambling Technology (EsT) from IDS GeoRadar, part of Hexagon, it detects underground utilities more clearly. It even reveals smaller objects that could have been missed before, such as fibre optic cables.

New Leica CoastalMapper LiDAR sensor significantly speeds up airborne bathymetric mapping
Thanks to a wider field of view and the ability to be flown at higher altitudes, the Leica CoastalMapper increases survey efficiency of coastlines and rivers by 250% compared to previous sensor generations. The brings a new generation of airborne hydrographic mapping solutions to the industry and offers unmatched performance across a wide variety of mapping applications, from infrastructure resilience to river flood monitoring and environmental investigations in shallow and deep waters.
